Invitation

I realized how difficult this will be to write In order to reach my objective audience. As I stated, my main goal here is to reach  young adults with my writing, so I have chosen to do my best to use simple terminology. I will use as my template the memory of my youth and write as If I was writing to myself as a young man of the early twenty’s. In this format I will have to assume that little is known and understood about ancient history, the canonized bible along with the discourses of the church fathers. I will also assume that little or nothing is known about the Dead Sea Scrolls and the contents of the Nag Hammadi Library. In this manner I will attempt to write a scholarly essay as judged by it’s literary design, composition, and diffusion of knowledge, rather than it’s expanded vocabulary and literary content. Where it is possible, I will provide definitions and examples, possibly to the point of dismay for people of more formal educations. But please be patient for I will eliminate definitions and explanations as I progress and the reader acquires the basic knowledge of the terms and references used. Keep in mind that this will make it rather important to read the content in order of it’s posting.

MY INVITATION….

Spiritual mysticism is an ongoing lifetime journey of continuous enlightenment, that would be greatly benefited by as many years of life as possible. To be able to obtain the level of consciousness that I am now capable of achieving took many years of my life in study, worship and meditation. Do not be mistaken, I do not seek followers or disciples, nor am I worthy of this. In fact if I am looked upon in this way I have failed in my attempt to disclose the wisdom of the Gnostic’s. Think of me only as a fellow voyager on a ship with no helm and no rudder. A vessel in which it’s navigation is left to the hand of God. Thus my name Gnostic Voyager is not a title, it is a reference to my spiritual vocation. If you choose to join this voyage it will also be your name. My definitive quest here is to give the young  knowledge that otherwise must come from many years of  mystic practice.  This I do as a service to humanity with the hope that my life work can help even a few of the next generation reach a much higher state of enlightenment in their lifetime, than I have reached in my own.

I ALSO EXTEND MY WELCOME BEYOND THE YOUTH…

To the experienced seekers of truth… join me on this journey to evaluate my path and compare it to your own.

To the people of the world that know the existence of God… Yet have not attempted to venture past the the confinements of the five senses and the physical realm of man. Your ship finally sets sail.

To the church goers that sits in the pew waiting for a clue to why you are there… If you have come hoping for a glimmer of understanding and purpose, welcome to the means to your end.

To the Self proclaimed and Decreed biblical scholar… join me and ad to your studies the rarely disclosed journey of a Contemporary Gnostic. A chance to expand your encyclopedic definition of Gnosticism.

To the Clergy of all denominations… This is your chance to learn the catechism of a 21st century disciple of Thomas first hand.  And a rare opportunity to judge for yourself to hang a sign of heresy or a sign of spiritual wisdom on the Gnostic Order of worship.

To the lost, the wanting, the doubters and the atheist…  I welcome you most of all for it will be your restitution that I speak of.

Finally to my fellow Gnostics… help guide me with my quest and extend a watchful eye on the wisdom of the chosen depths of public disclosures of our mystic beliefs and worships.

Important Consideration ….

I will attempt early on in the journey to provide the reader the guidance and instructions needed to develop the ability to temporarily enter into a state of altered consciousness. I have decided that this experience no matter how fleeting, will wet your thirst for a deeper sip of the cup of mystic knowledge. Experimentation of consciousness can be frightening at first. Any time the unknown becomes known it has the tendency to disrupt our established comfort zones.

The reality of truth can be hard to face at first, much like an infant at birth frightened as it leaves the comfort of it’s mothers womb. Soon after, the infant will find the tender embrace of it’s mother a pleasurable substitute for the loneliness of her womb.

The first awakening of consciousness is much like birth onto life. The occurrences of conscious awakenings at first,  will be no more then a temporary state of altered thinking that will last only minutes.   Even in this short duration you will find yourself encapsulated in the most profound thought and wonderment of your life. You will return to your normal state of consciousness with a strong desire to start your next journey. Be patient and follow my guidance, a wrong turn can produce premature journeys into the unknown that may frighten you into spiritual stagnation for a life time.

The first mystic encounter with God  is a profound epiphany which  is always accompanied by a revelation of knowledge (Gnosis). this enlightenment is more than can be fully comprehended when you return to your usual state of awareness.  A strong desire to share all that is learned with the ones you care about, is met with disbelief. It becomes in a sense frustrating when you realize words can not describe what you have experienced and you quickly learn the power of self gnosis.

This conscious connection with God is so profound it is not spoken, it seemingly out of nowhere pops into your mind, as if it has been there all along (and it has). It is as if you could not access it in your normal state of mind.

Much like a computer that has been disconnected and then reconnected to it’s *hard-drive memory and all of the desktop icons once again have working links.

The very first gnosis (Knowledge) for many seekers comes with the realization that you have been running on **ram memory all of your life.

This is the Gnosis that we will first seek. With this first enlightenment you will be like a newborn being cuddled up to it’s mothers breast for the first taste of life. If you succeed at this enlightenment you will have tasted the genesis of  mysticism, and have started your journey to a life changing renaissance and the true meaning of the spiritual babptisim of being born again.

* “Hard Drive” The largest memory bank that contains all the programed Data (Sub-Conscious Knowledge)

* “Ram” (Random Access Memory)The smaller memory of a computer  used to access files that are currently being worked on (Consciousness).
